Faculty Development Programme | Day 1 | Repositioning Social Work Education in Contemporary India – 2026
The Department of Social Work, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, is organizing Day 1 of the Faculty Development Programme titled “Repositioning Social Work Education in Contemporary India – 2026” on 18 February 2026 (Afternoon Sessions).
The programme will feature expert sessions addressing critical dimensions of social work education and practice in the contemporary Indian context.
Session 1 (2.00 PM – 3.30 PM): Mental Health and Social Work Interventions – Challenges and Opportunities in Social Work Education
Session 2 (3.30 PM – 5.00 PM): The Scope and Emerging Dimensions of Development Social Work in the 21st Century
The sessions will be held at the Seminar Hall, Utility Centre. Faculty members, research scholars, and students are encouraged to participate and engage in meaningful academic deliberations.
